Overview
Busek Co. Inc. is engaged in applied research, hardware development and specialty manufacturing in three complimentary lines of business, space propulsion applications, power electronics and material science. We are the leading source for advanced electric propulsion thrusters for use on military, government and commercial satellites.
Busek was founded over two decades ago by Dr. Vlad Hruby and incorporated in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts in 1985. Dr. Hruby is a recognized expert in electrostatic propulsion and actively manages Busek as company president and is the chief scientist for the Space Propulsion Group: our center of excellence for propulsion development.
Busek facilities are located in Natick, Massachusetts, approximately 15 miles west of Boston. We have over 20,000 square feet of engineering, laboratory, product assembly and testing facility floor space. Our extensive facilities are specifically designed and fully equipped for the development, testing and assembly of sophisticated propulsion hardware and subsystems.

Working at Busek
Busek is seeking Engineers to participate or direct efforts in carbon nanotube-based and diamond-based field emission (microfabrication skills are a plus), silicon carbide reaction bonding and brazing, plasma spraying, arcjet and Hall effect propulsion, instrumentation and diagnostics, electrospray, and magnetic levitation.
