Busek has been actively developing and delivering power management systems, including
compact power processing units and spacecraft power management and distribution systems.

Power Management and Distribution (PMAD) Subsystems
Busek has been developing a complete suite of power management and distribution electronics
for small to mid-size spacecraft, including, but not limited to, the following:
•
battery charge regulation
•
custom dc / dc conversion
•
solar array management
•
bus Voltage regulation
•
digital / analog interface
Capabilities
Disturbance Reduction System (payload, Lisa
Pathfinder)
Four PPUs, each dedicated to a separate thruster,
provide required Voltages necessary to operate
each thruster. Eight were delivered in all. Four
PPUs are commanded by a single DRS DCIU.
Each PPU includes the following
•
custom high and low voltage converters
converters, isolated up to 10kV
•
signal conditioning for telemetry/command
MPACS (payload, FalconSat-3)
The MPACS high voltage charging and trigger
electronics operate each 3-axis micro-pulsed
plasma thruster. These units include signal
conditioning electronics, filtered into the onboard
Busek MPACS DCIU.
